The 7th International Conference on Psycholinguistics, hosted by the Psycholinguistics Committee of the China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese (CACSEC) and the School of Foreign Languages, Dalian University of Technology (DUT), will be held in Dalian, Liaoning, China, from May 24th to 26th, 2024. The conference will take place on the Ling Shui Campus of Dalian University of Technology. Internationally renowned scholars in the field of psycholinguistics will be invited to give keynote speeches for the conference. Additionally, free related training sessions, covering topics such as ERP principles and data analysis techniques, and psycholinguistic experimental research design, will be offered on May 24th 2024.
1. Conference Theme: Language Cognition and Intelligence
The topics for the conference will include, but not necessarily be limited to the following:
1) Psycholinguistics research paradigms and methods
2) The processing of speech, vocabulary, syntax, and semantics
3) Bilingual understanding, representation, and production mechanisms
4) Neurocognitive studies of interpreting
5) Language disorder diagnosis and intervention
6) Interaction of language and social cognition
7) Interaction of language and cognitive computation
8) Artificial intelligence in linguistics
9) Second language learning and teaching research
2. Forum Formats
The conference will include the following forum formats: keynote speeches, special forums, group oral presentations, and poster presentations.
Keynote Speeches: Conducted after the opening ceremony and before the closing ceremony, featuring keynote speeches by leading figures in international psycholinguistic research.
Special Forums: 90-180 minute special discussions focusing on a specific research topic, presenting a series of high-quality paper reports. Teachers interested in organizing special forums are requested to submit the design proposal to the organizing committee by February 15th, 2024, to receive timely suggestions and assistance.
Group Oral Presentations: Each attending representative will present a 20-minute paper reading and discussion on relevant topics.
Poster Presentations: A dedicated area will be set up for poster displays, facilitating one-on-one discussions among attending representatives.
